Frequently Asked Questions

A little preparation makes it easier to settle in.
Find practical answers about what to bring, how to prepare, and what to expect during your visit.

Your Salt Cave Visit

How early should I arrive for my Salt Cave appointment?
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, complete any paperwork, use the restroom, and store your belongings before your session begins.
What should I wear or bring into the Cave?
Wear comfortable clothing and clean socks. Shoes stay outside the Cave. Thicker socks can make walking on the salt-pebble floor more comfortable, and you are welcome to bring a light blanket.
Where should I leave my phone and valuables?
Lockers are available for your belongings. Please leave phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and electronic key fobs outside the Cave to limit their exposure to salt.
Are refreshments allowed inside the Cave?
No. Food, drinks, chewing gum, and candy must remain outside the Cave.
May I read during my session?
Books are welcome, although the lighting is dim. Please do not bring newspapers.

Preparing For Your Float

Will I have a private changing and shower area?
Yes. Your float room includes its own shower and changing area. Each pod accommodates one guest at a time.
Which supplies are provided?
We provide towels, earplugs, shampoo, and body wash. Bring your own brush or comb and any personal grooming products you would like afterward.
Should I remove contact lenses and jewelry?
Yes. Remove both before entering the pod.
Should I eat or drink before floating?
Eat a light meal about 90 minutes beforehand and hydrate normally. Avoid caffeine and alcohol for several hours before your appointment.
Is showering required before and after floating?
Yes. Shower beforehand to remove body oils and products, then afterward to rinse the salt from your skin and hair.
Should I avoid shaving before my appointment?
Avoid shaving for at least eight hours before floating. New tattoos and piercings should be fully healed before you enter the water.

During and After Your Float

What if enclosed spaces make me uncomfortable?
You can leave the pod lid open and end your session whenever you choose. You do not need to keep the lid closed to enjoy your float.
Is swimming experience necessary?
No. The high salt concentration provides buoyancy, so swimming is not required.
What should I do if salt water gets in my eyes?
A freshwater rinse bottle and washcloth are provided. Avoid touching your eyes with wet, salty hands.
Will I receive a reminder before my float ends?
Yes. We will let you know when five minutes remain in your session.
How much time do I have to shower afterward?
Please finish your shower and leave the float room within 15 minutes after your session ends. This gives our team time to clean and prepare the room for the next guest.
Is the water treated between guests?
Yes. The water goes through filtration and purification between sessions.

Sauna and Cold Plunge Preparation

What should I bring for my Infrared Sauna appointment?
Wear lightweight clothing or a bathing suit, or bring a towel to wrap around yourself. Bring two or three towels: one to sit on, one for perspiration, and another if you plan to wrap up. Remember to hydrate before, during, and after your visit.
What should I bring for the Cold Plunge or a Sauna & Plunge Combo?
Wear a bathing suit and bring a towel for the Cold Plunge. For a combined Sauna & Plunge visit, bring at least two towels per guest.
